dc.description.abstractA machine had been design for the preparation of natural rubber ( NR ) having consistent processing properties ( high quality natural rubber ). The principle of the machine is based on acid-assisted dipping method employing rotating PVC roll as the dipping mould. 0.2 mm thick NR films were produced and pulled out of the mould for low temperature drying ( 80 C ). The NR samples prepared exhibited consistent vulcanisation and rheological properties and compared favourably with whole natural rubber ( WNR ) and acid-coagulated natural rubber ( ANR ). The machine still has to be improved on refinement and the drying oven and take-off rolls added. Other remaining work is the method of preventing NR lumps from sticking to one another. However, the method of preparation of high quality natural rubber could be stated to have been established.
