Abstract
There are many people who have become accustomed to the "new normal" lifestyle, even though the current situation sees everyone returning to their normal lives as in the pre-pandemic period. They are still concerned about infection and the effects of COVID-19, which has led to increased health and hygiene consciousness. In addition, this incident has impacted lifestyle changes, including changes in purchasing decisions toward certain products, especially household cleaning products. In 2020, the market value of surface-care products was approximately 4.3 billion baht, growing by 1% in retail value. With this incremental demand for homecare products, the introduction of a dust remover solution would, therefore, be a great opportunity for the business to penetrate the homecare market. Cleanie is a dust remover solution considered a type of household cleaning solution. It has outstanding features compared to other regular cleaning solutions as it can deeply clean, polish, and be applicable to any surface. The product was formulated by my mother, who produced and sold it for more than 10 years; thus, it can be guaranteed that our product delivers high quality with outstanding results and a reasonable price for potential customers. The objective of this study is to understand potential customers' insights and pain points that could impact their purchasing decisions. Moreover, this study aims to find customers' preferences that could be used to develop products and marketing strategies that fit potential customers well. The methods of data collection consist of in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The findings of this study will be beneficial for starting and operating the business while delivering the right solutions that best fit customers' needs. IMPLICATION OF THE THEMATIC PAPER: The objective of this research is to re-establish a family business, which was very successful in the past, to become a competent business with a well-planned strategy. To do so, this business plan depends on two research methods: primary and secondary research. Both methodologies are used to gain a comprehensive insight into market and business conditions, including people’s perspectives and behavior. Besides, the research helps the company design business goals and strategies. The findings of this study suggest that there are still prospects for new entrants to become players in this market, whether due to changing trends and lifestyles, customers with unmet needs, or a variety of products. Therefore, this research can be applied in practice in terms of validating objectives, finding and using appropriate methods and tools, and analyzing results with the aim of creating a business plan.
