| dc.description.abstract | Objective: Anterior knee pain is common symptom in patellofemoral pain syndrome patients. The Kinesio tape is useful for applying to several kinds of musculoskeletal conditions patients, which the purposes of Kinesio tape applied are facilitation, inhibition and mechanical correction of muscle function. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of Kinesio tape on pain and walking distance in the patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome. Material and Method: The Kinesio tape mechanical correction method was applied for 48 hours to four patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome. The Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and modified six-minute walk test on FDM-T were assessed in three occasions: before, immediate and 48 hours after taping. Results: The visual analog scale was decreased and the walking distance was increased in all subjects after Kinesio tape was applied for 48 hours. Conclusion: Kinesio tape applied can improve in pain and walking distance on patients. However, more subjects will be enrolled and described in other outcomes for further study. | en_US |
