Abstract
This research was designed as a survey which aimed to study alcohol drinking behavior and to study the factors influencing alcohol drinking behavior among adolescents in 5 vocational schools in Nakhonratchasima Province The subjects were 362 students, between the ages of 15-20 years. The students were selected by the stratified random sampling method and simple random sampling. The tools used were questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the following statistics : frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way Anova, Chi-square, Cramer's V and Pearson's Product Correlation Coefficient. Most of study subjects were female students, aged between 15 - 20 years old. Of the 362 students, 74% drank alcohol, and 56.9% of the students studied were female alcohol consumers. Students started drinking alcohol between 10-15 years of age. The first types of alcohol that they drank were spy, wine or beer or sura drank one pek. Leo was the brand of beer that they drank first. Initially the reason for drinking was curiosity. The time of purchase was between 3 pm and 9 pm. Alcoholic beverages were perchased at retailers. Most students drank in their house and usually spent less than 250 baht. The study found that there was a statistically significant correlation between GPA., income, alcohol perception and attitude towards drinking.
