Abstract
Walanchalee Wattanacharoensil and Malinvisa Sakdiyakorn investigate how large hospitality conglomerates, such as Minor International (MINT) in Thailand, balance long-term strategic growth with sustainability principles. MINT has set an ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 while pursuing aggressive expansion. This study explores MINT's journey toward sustainability. MINT employs various strategies to achieve its sustainability goals, including using the Cornell Hotel Sustainability Benchmarking (CHSB) tool, reporting on energy and water consumption, releasing sustainability performance reports, undertaking philanthropic initiatives, and securing top management commitment.
