Problem management system of computer application in the banking overseas branches division

Abstract

This research is conducted to solve current problems of an Overseas Branch Division of a major Bangkok bank. The research analyzes the current systems and designs and develops an improved system to meet users requirements. In conducting the research, the researcher deals with data collection, the analysis of problem of the existing system, and the feasibility study. The system analysis is presented in a data flow diagram and the system processes are presented in a flow chart. In designing the system, the researcher uses the Graphic User Interface (GUI) for user interface design, and the MS Access 97 relational database with 3 NF normalization for database design and developing the application software. The results, Banking Overseas Branches Division enables to search detail of problems of computer application, programmers and branches. Enables to produce problem report, branch list report and programmer list report. This research suggests that client/server architectures should be produced which principally aim to facilitate all users of the Banking Overseas Branches Division. Accordingly, they can easily access information, investigate the system whether they want to find or order information. By this way, the Banking Overseas Branches Division can increase working potential and create a good organizational image.

งานวิจัยนี้จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นของระบบงานส่วนต่างประเทศของ ธนาคารที่ใช้งานอยู่ในปัจจุบัน เพื่อให้ตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของผู้ใช้ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ ออกแบบ และพัฒนาระบบงานของส่วนต่างประเทศของธนาคาร ให้มีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ทำความเข้าใจกับปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในระบบงานเดิม และศึกษาความ เป็นไปได้ของระบบในการทำงาน เพื่อนำมาสู่การวิเคราะห์ระบบที่แสดงในรูปของ Data Flow Diagram และ Flow Chart ในการทำงาน การออกแบบระบบที่เป็นไปตามความต้องการของ ผู้ใช้ในลักษณะของ Graphic User Interface (GUI) รวมทั้งมีการออกแบบฐานข้อมูลในลักษณะ ของ Relational Database ที่เป็นไปตามหลักการของ Normalization ในระดับ 3NF โดยใช้ โปรแกรม Microsoft Access 97 เป็นฐานข้อมูลและใช้ในการพัฒนา Application Software ซึ่งผลการวิจัยนี้ส่วนต่างประเทศของธนาคารสามารถสืบค้นข้อมูลและจัดทำรายงานแสดงรายละเอียด ของปัญหาด้าน computer application, branches และ programmers เพื่อใช้เป็นข้อมูล ในการแก้ปัญหาต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น พร้อมกันนี้ผู้วิจัยยังได้มีข้อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนางานวิจัยนี้ต่อไปคือ ควรมีการพัฒนา หรือปรับปรุง application ให้มีการใช้สถาปัตยกรรมของ Client/Server เพื่อเพิ่มความ สะดวกให้กับผู้ใช้ในการเรียกใช้ข้อมูลเพื่อใช้ในการวิเคราะห์แก้ไขปัญหาต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น และ เป็นการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานให้กับผู้ใช้ด้วย
