Induced mutation of crude oil biodegrading bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa)
(Mahidol University. Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center, 2004) Apiradee Suwanwong; Prayad Pokethitiyook
The objective of this research was to find techniques to enhance oil biodegradation in petroleum contaminated soil. Induced mutation by UV irradiation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa MU 01 was performed. The UV dose that caused the mutation was 3,000 μ J

Mutagenic tests of stevioside and steviol
(Mahidol University. Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center, 2023) Jittima Pimbua; Thirayudh Glinsukon
The mutagenicity of stevioside, a constituent of Stevia rebauaians, and steviol, the aglycone of stevio-sice, was determined by Ames test using TA98 and TA 100 and forward mutation test using TM 677 tester strain of S.typhimurium. No mutagenic..., stevioside (20 mg/ml) could not induce mutation in forward mutation using TM 677 with and without S-9 fractions from livers of the rats treated with PCB. However, the mutagenic activity of steviol (0.1-5 mg/ml) was detected only in forward mutation test using

Mutagenic and antibacterial tests of newly synthesized sulfa drugs
(Mahidol University. Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center, 2023) Suwanna Nerapattanakul; Thirayudh Glinsukon; Chaivat Toskulkao; Punya Temcharoen
-amidopyridine and 2-(p-nitrobenzenesulfonamido) pyridine which have an antifertility effect in experimentl animals were studied for mutagenic activity to Salmmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA 100, a histidine revertant by Ames test and to S. typhimurium TM 677 8...-azaguanine (8-AG) resistance by forward mutation assay both in the absence and presence of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)-induced rat-liver postmitochondrial supernatant (PMS). The results showed that all of the seven compounds were not mutagenic
