The paper firstly introduces Thai literature in translation in the global context by giving an overview and backgroundPublication Open Access “คุรบานี” จักรวาลในดวงจิต : เรียนรู้ปรัชญาจากสัตว์ในภาพพจน์(2562) อภิรัฐ คำวัง; Aphirat Kamwang; มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล. สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย; มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล. สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเพื่อพัฒนาชนบทคุรบานีเป็นบทสวดพระธรรม ประพันธ์ไว้ในพระมหาคัมภีร์แห่งศาสนาซิกข์ (คุรุศาสดานิรันดร์กาล) ในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ พิจารณาเฉพาะการนำสัตว์มาใช้เป็นภาพพจน์ในทางวรรณกรรม โดยเน้นการอุปมาสัตว์เป็นพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาหลักปรัชญาคำสอนที่คุรุศาสดาผู้ประพันธ์ได้ถ่ายทอดต่อ ศิษยานุศิษย์ อันจะทำให้เกิดความตระหนักและความเข้าใจในความเป็นมนุษย์ นำไปสู่ปฏิบัติการพัฒนาทาง จิตวิญญาณ โดยศึกษาด้วยวิธีการสุ่มเลือกคุรบานี 50 ซบัด ซึ่งให้ครอบคลุมสรรพสัตว์ และพบ 40 ชนิดพันธุ์ที่ได้อาศัยพฤติกรรมที่เด่นของสัตว์ต่างๆ มาสื่อเป็นตัวอย่าง สำหรับบทความวิจัยนี้ พิจารณานำเสนอ 7 กรณีศึกษา และ 11 ชนิดพันธุ์ และผลการศึกษาบางส่วน คุรบานีอุปมาเรื่องสำคัญ คือ เรื่องมายาและความหลง เรื่องความรักศรัทธาต่อ “วาฮฺ คุรู” เรื่องปัญญา ตลอดจนการประพฤติชอบของอริยสาวก (คุรมุข) ซึ่งผลการศึกษานี้ถือเป็นองค์ความรู้ทางปรัชญาศาสนาซิกข์ที่มีความน่าสนใจและน่าจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคมไทย หากจะสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อเสริมสร้างการพัฒนาคุณธรรมจริยธรรม
