    Palladium-mediated heck-type reactions of [(Bromodifluoromethyl)sulfonyl] benzene: Synthesis of α-alkenyl- and α-heteroaryl-substituted α,α-difluoromethyl phenyl sulfones
(2012-10-01) Nakin Surapanich; Chutima Kuhakarn; Manat Pohmakotr; Vichai Reutrakul; Mahidol University
Palladium-catalyzed Heck-type reactions of [(bromodifluoromethyl)sulfonyl] benzene (1) with styrene derivatives and heteroaromatic compounds successfully gave α-alkenyl- and α-heteroaryl-substituted α,α- difluoromethyl phenyl sulfones, respectively.... Palladium-catalyzed Heck-type reactions of [(bromodifluoromethyl)sulfonyl] benzene (1) are reported. Both styrene derivatives and heteroaromatic compounds gave PhSO 2 CF 2 -substituted products in moderate to good yields. © 2012 2012 Wiley-VCH Verlag Gmb

C-H Activation and Palladium Migration within Biaryls under Heck Reaction Conditions
(2002-09-05) Gunter Karig; Maria Teresa Moon; Nopporn Thasana; Timothy Gallagher; University of Bristol; Chulabhorn Research Institute; Mahidol University
(Equation Presented) Biaryl bromides such as 1 (R=NO2, H, OMe) undergo the Heck reaction to give both the expected products 3 ("retention") as well as "crossover" products 4 derived from a migration of Pd and net transfer of reactivity from one aryl

was also shown to be an efficient catalyst for Heck reactions. Simple catalyst recovery and reusability of PdNp@Bim-SQ for at least 5 catalytic cycles without loss of activity were also demonstrated.... an amorphous material of Pd(II)@Bim-SQ. Subsequent in situ reduction of Pd(II)@Bim-SQ during Suzuki−Miyaura cross-coupling reactions afforded monodispersed Pd nanoparticles (2.33 ± 1.50 nm) stablized on Bim-SQ support, PdNp@Bim-SQ with Pd loading up to 14% w/w

Synthesis of indolo- and benzothieno[3,2-c]quinolines via POCl3 mediated tandem cyclization of o-alkynylisocyanobenzenes derived from o-alkynyl-N-phenylformamides
    (2022-08-01) Uppalabat T.; Tapdara A.; Khaikate O.; Worakul T.; Surawatanawong P.; Leowanawat P.; Soorukram D.; Reutrakul V.; Meesin J.; Kuhakarn C.; Mahidol University
A synthesis of indolo[3,2-c]quinolines and benzothieno[3,2-c]quinolines has been developed employing o-alkynyl-N-phenylformamide derivatives as the substrates. The reaction proceeded via a tandem process involving POCl3-assisted intramolecular... cyclization of the firstly formed o-alkynylisocyanobenzenes, leading to the desired products in moderate to high yields. Furthermore, the reaction is efficient on a gram-scale and the products were structurally modified by amination, Suzuzki-Miyaura reaction
