Publication Metadata only Osteoblast differentiation and bone formation gene expression in strontium-inducing bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell(2007-05-01) Monnipha Sila-Asna; Ahnond Bunyaratvej; Sakan Maeda; Hiromichi Kitaguchi; Narong Bunyaratavej; The Institute of Science and Technology for Research and Development, Mahidol University; National Research Council of Thailand; Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Kobe University School of Medicine; Mahidol UniversityOsteoblastic differentiation from human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSCs) is an important step of bone formation. We studied the in vitro induction of hMSCs by using strontium ranelate, a natural trace amount in water, food and human skeleton. The m...RNA synthesis of various osteoblast specific genes was assessed by means of reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). In the hMSCs culture, strontium ranelate could enhance the induction of hMSCs to differentiate into osteoblasts. Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center, 1999) Chutimon Ratanapeanchai; Juwadee Shiowatana; Laddawan Pdungsap; Waret VeerasaiItem Metadata only Effect of manganese and iron doping on the properties of strontium bismuth tantalate ceramics prepared by auto-combustion of citrate-nitrate gel process(Mahidol University. Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center, 2005) Temporn Sookawee; Laddawan PdungsapPublication Metadata only The action of Strontium ranelate: Myth or reality(2011-10-01) Narong Bunyaratavej; Mahidol UniversityThe present study aimed to show whether the Strontium ranelate was the dual action possessing either antiresorptive or formative properties. This retrograded study included 56 postmenopausal women using the biological bone turnover markers... as an evaluation. The antiresorptive property described by the mean value of Beta-crossLap or bCTx before taking 2 grams of Strontium ranelate per day was 0.377 ng/ml compared with the mean of CTx after the 3-month treatment which was 0.409 (p = 0.083) ng/mlPublication Metadata only Lithium/strontium exchange in '2212' bismuth superconductors(1991-10-01) C. Engkagul; K. Eaiprasertsak; J. Laksanaboonsong; K. Treechairusme; N. Chaichit; S. Leelaprute; N. Chiengpratoom; I. M. Tang; Thammasat University; Silpakorn University; Mahidol UniversityThe effect of the replacement of strontium ions by lithium ions on the Tcs of liquid-nitrogen-quenched "2212" bismuth superconductors processed at 700°C is studied. As is the case for the exchange of cooper ions by lithium ions, the Li/Sr exchangePublication Metadata only Visible light responsive strontium carbonate catalyst derived from solvothermal synthesis(2020-09-01) Pornnaphat Wichannananon; Thawanrat Kobkeatthawin; Siwaporn Meejoo Smith; Mahidol University© 2020 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland. A single crystalline phase of strontium carbonate (SrCO3) was successfully obtained from solvothermal treatments of hydrated strontium hydroxide in ethanol (EtOH) at 100◦C for 2 h, usingItem Metadata only Multifunctional strontium-MOFs-based dental adhesive: Innovation for enhanced bonding performance and bioactivity(2026-01-01) Matphang S.; Aueboonprasert N.; Rattanakam R.; Teanchai C.; Sinthuvanich C.; Attarataya J.; Sonthisathaporn M.; Akkarachaneeyakorn K.; Matphang S.; Mahidol Universitysecondary caries, and prolong the longevity of restorations. In this in vitro study, a novel bioactive dental adhesive was developed using strontium-based metal-organic frameworks (Sr-MOFs) with fumarate ligands as functional nanofillers. The incorporationItem Metadata only Strontium ferrite oxide (Sr3Fe2O7) decorated TiO2 photoanode improves the photo-absorption and photoelectrochemical cell efficiency(2024-01-01) Panchakhant P.; Wannapop S.; Yana J.; Meejoo Smith S.; Somdee A.; Panchakhant P.; Mahidol UniversityIn this study, a coating of strontium ferrite oxide (SFO), Sr3Fe2O7, on TiO2 demonstrated an enhancement in photoelectrochemical cell (PEC) performance. Pure TiO2 and SFO decorated TiO2 (SFO/TiO2) were synthesized using the hydrothermal methodPublication Metadata only Fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) production from soybean oil under ambient conditions using strontium loaded bovine bone(2017-01-01) Suwilai Chaveanghong; Siwaporn Meejoo Smith; Chutima Oopathum; Christopher B. Smith; Apanee Luengnaruemitchai; Mahidol University; Rajamangala University of Technology system; Chulalongkorn University© 2017 Energy- and cost efficient processes are desirable for the large scale production of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) for fuel applications. This work reports the utilization of Sr loaded bovine bone as effective and reusable catalyst for FAME production at low temperatures (30–65 °C), in high yields (>90%). Loading of Sr(NO3)2into bovine bone (as a porous support) followed by calcination (500–1100 °C) affords a series of catalytically active materials. Material calcined at 750 °C (denoted as SrC750) gives optimum performance, with very high FAME yields (96.5%) after 1 h at 65 °C, and can be reused up to 10 times without yield decrease or need for regeneration. High yields of FAME (>93%) are also achieved at ambient temperature (30 °C) using SrC750, with products meeting ASTM 6751 and EN 14214 requirements suggesting their applicability as fuels in diesel engines.
