Abstract
© 2017 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd. Since leadership is a culture bound concept and the Rhineland leadership is Western-derived, this paper develops a corporate sustainability model for future testing in Asian economies. A systematic review that covers empirical research on Rhineland leadership in firms in Thailand which has been published between 2011 and 2016 in academic journals has been conducted. A content analysis has been carried out by comparing and contrasting the findings. Gaps between the Western-derived Rhineland leadership and the examined practices in Thai companies are identified and discussed. Accordingly, 16 hypotheses and a structural model are derived for future research. This paper contains the first research-derived Asian model on corporate sustainability.
