Abstract
© All Rights Reserved. Murraya paniculata leaf aqueous extractions in 0.5, 1, 3, 5 and 24 hours were determined the highest amount of total phenolic compound and used for evaluating the cytotoxicity test against Artemia salina at varied concentrations as 0, 5, 50, 100, 500, 2,500 and 5,000 ppm, by determining the median and 90% lethal concentration, LC50and LC90, respectively, within 24 hours. The result revealed that the total phenolic compound measurements in each time extraction were 134.71+3.46, 136.08+7.47, 124.86+10.61, 146.66+9.01 and 129.65+3.53 mg of gallic acid equivalent per g of extract, respectively. Due to the highest amount of total phenolic compound, the 5-hour aqueous extract of M. paniculata leaf expressed the 24-h LC50and LC90values in A. salina were 2,572.03 and 4,565.79 ppm, respectively.
