Incidence of malarial parasites in peripheral blood of out patients of the Siriraj Hospital (Thai)
Between 1959 and 1971, peripheral blood examination for malarial parasites was carried out on 39,560 out patients. 3,586 cases (9.06 %) were found to have single infection, and 10 cases (0.02 %) mixed infection. The ratio between the incidences of P. vivax, P. falciparum and P. malariae was 2.2:1.4:0.01.
