Abstract
The reaction of chalcone epoxide 123 with lithium tetramethylpiperidide (LTMP) provided both α- and β- anions (150 and 158, respectively). Existence of the α-anion 150 was confirmed by trapping with aromatic aldehydes to obtain compounds 162-165 while, the β-anion 158 was proved by formation of dimers 155 and 156. ปฏิกิริยาระหว่างชาล์โคน อีพ็อกไซด์ 123 กับลิเทียม เตตระเมทิลพิเพอร์ริไดด์สามารถให้ทั้งอัลฟาแอนไอออน และเบต้าแอนไอออน (150 และ 158 ตามลำดับ) โดยปฏิกิริยา ของอัลฟาแอนไอออน 150 กับอะโรมาติก อัลดีไฮด์ให้สารประกอบ 162-165 ในขณะที่เบต้าแอนไอออนจะทำปฏิกิริยากับสาร ตั้งต้นได้ไดเมอร์ 155 และ 156
