Abstract

Microplastic pollution in municipal wastewater threatens aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, especially in developing regions. This work discusses natural materials for wastewater treatment as sustainable solutions to reduce microplastic discharge and mitigate environmental and public health impacts.
