Abstract

The reaction of lithio α-chloromethyl phenyl sulfone with imines gave aziridines in good yields. The resulting aziridines were alkylated and underwent the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with dimethylacetylene dicarboxylate to give pyrroles in excellent yields. © 1984.
