Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the effects of a program of prevention skills against sexual assault of school aged children. 72 students were equally divided into an experimental and control group. The program based on participatory learning in five lessons : knowledge of sexual assault, critical thinking, self-awareness, decision making and communication skills as well some techniques to promote the self-efficacy were employed to all lessons. The differences of mean scores of life skills and self-efficacy to prevent sexual assault before and after implementation of study group were significantly higher than those of control group. The program was an effective tool used to promote prevention to student’s sexual assaults.
