Health and nutritional problems in the Nam Pong water resource development scheme
In view of the possibly serious problems of water resource development schemes on the health of the people, a number of investigations have been undertaken in Thailand. A study on health and nutritional problems in the Nam-Pong water-resource-development scheme was started in 1977. This study demonstrates that improvement of the socio-economic environment does not necessarily result in the improvement of health of the community.
