การรักษาแบบโฟโตไดนามิค หรือที่เรียกว่า พีดีที เป็นความก้าวหน้าทางวิทยาศาสตร์
การแพทย์ ในการรักษา โดยการใช้แสงเลเซอร์ร่วมกับสารเคมีที่ไวแสง ในทางจักษุวิทยามีการ

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a new medical technology in the field of the eye involving the combined application of photosensitizing agent with laser treatment. In this way, PDT is used to treat many diseases, especially choroidal neovascularization due to age-related macular degeneration that causes elderly people lose their visual acuity. The photosensitizing agent is called as “verteporfin.” Nurses should have knowledge about medicine and have important roles for patients before and after treatment, especially giving patients advices for self care.
