The objectives of this study were to develop a model for academic management in public primary schools under the Nakhonpathom District Educational Service Area Office 2, and to evaluate the applicability of the model for academic management in public primary schools under the Nakhonpathom District Educational Service Area Office 2. This study was divided into the qualitative and quantitative phases. During the qualitative phase, the researcher invited five experts for an interview on the scopes and aspects of academic management for public primary schools. During the quantitative phase, the researcher calculated the total sample of participants to be 316 participants and used questionnaire to collect data on the applicability and current situation from the participants. The qualitative part was analyzed using content analysis, while the quantitative data was analyzed using frequency, percentages, mean, standard deviation and paired t-test. The findings revealed that the model of academic management for public primary schools under the Nakhonpathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 consists of twelve aspects. They are curriculum development; learning process development; assessment and evaluation development; research for education development; media, innovation, and technology development; learning resources development; education supervision; education counseling; internal quality assurance system development; academic knowledge promotion for communities; academic development cooperation with other schools; and promotion of academics to individuals, families, organizations, agencies, and other schools. The applicability of the model was evaluated. The evaluation revealed that the sample believed that all the twelve aspects of academic management can be implemented at the highest level, whereas the data on the current situation of academic management revealed that schools’ academic management work is performed at a high level. Based on the findings, the researcher recommends school administrators to implement the academic management model from this study since it is an innovation that makes the school’s academic management work more effective when implemented appropriately to the context of the school. Hence, the school could further develop its academic quality.en
