    The effect of the EF guideline for writing learning experience plans on the preschool teachers' teaching skills : a case study of Kindergarten schools in Bangkok

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the EF Guideline tool for guiding pre-kindergarten and kindergarten teachers to plan their classroom activities and environments for promoting children's EF skills on the teachers' knowledge of EF skills, teaching skills, and attitudes toward their own ability to promote the children's EF skills. The sample was selected by purposive sampling method. 8 teachers in the 4 to 6 - year - oldclassrooms in 4 kindergarten located in Bangkok were the sample of this research because they used to participate in the EF Training Program. A mixed method, including qualitative and quantitative research, was designed. In order to evaluate the teachers' knowledge of the EF skills, attitude toward their own abilities to use the EF Guideline for promoting their children's EF skills, and their skills in planning and implementing the learning experiences based on EF Guideline, the Wilcoxon matched pairs signed rank test was utilized the scores before and after participating the EF Guideline Program. In order to analyze how EF Guideline affects the teachers' knowledge, skills, and attitude, the methods for collecting the qualitative data were teacher interview and observation. The method for analyzing the qualitative data was content analysis. The results showed that after participating in the EF Guideline program, the teachers' post-test scores on on the knowledge of the EF skills and skills in writing the learning experience plan were higher than their pre-test scores (T = 2, T = 0, p < .05). The results from content analysis yielded two themes including the abilities to implement the learning experience plan and reflection on their own performance. The findings indicated that the EF Guideline Program had a positive impact on the teachers' knowledge of the EF skills, the skills in writing and implementing the learning experience plans
